The May Performance Lineup at 52 Sumner is On Fire

We’re turning up the heat this spring!
 
Springfield, Mass. – The stage at 52 Sumner, Springfield’s newest arts and entertainment hotspot from Springfield Performing Arts Ventures, Inc. (“SPAV”), is heating up with a stacked lineup of live performances throughout May! From rock tribute shows that take you back in time, to community honors and classical brilliance—there’s something for everyone.
 
52 Sumner continues to shine as a symbol of access and inclusion in the arts, thanks to the vision of SPAV, a nonprofit breaking down barriers and connecting the city through creativity.
 
“We are so grateful to New Valley Bank and Trust for helping us continue to bring ROCK REWIND, our fan-favorite tribute series, to the stage,” shares Angela Park, co-founder, 52 Sumner. “This month we’re excited to continue the fun with three powerhouse performances that will have you singing along to classic hits.”

The Beautiful LosersFriday, May 3
Get ready for a night of pure rock ‘n’ roll nostalgia with this tribute to Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band. This all-star lineup of New England’s finest musicians are bringing you the ultimate experience packed with heartland rock anthems, soaring sax solos, and electrifying energy that will transport you straight to the golden age of rock.

 
RefugeeFriday, May 30
Don’t back down… because this show is ready to rock! Break out your denim and dig up those aviators because Refugee is bringing the ultimate Tom Petty experience to our stage! From “American Girl” to “Free Fallin’,” they nail every note, echoing the raw energy, unmistakable vocals, and rock-and-roll heart of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers.
 
Fleetwood MackedSaturday, May 31
You can go your own way… but we suggest heading straight to this show! Get ready for a night of magic, mystery, and mesmerizing harmonies with the timeless sounds of Fleetwood Mac. From the ethereal beauty of “Dreams” to the fiery pulse of “The Chain,” they bring all the passion, drama, and musical genius of the original legends with their spot-on vocals, iconic style, and an electric chemistry.

Springfield Preservation Trust AwardsWednesday, May 8
The annual celebration serves to recognize the people who help keep Springfield’s history alive. The Springfield Preservation Trust will honor individuals and organizations dedicated to preserving the architectural and cultural heritage of Springfield and highlight outstanding achievements in restoration, stewardship, and community commitment. 
 
The Champlain TrioSunday, May 18
The Champlain Trio, featuring Springfield Symphony Orchestra cellist Emily Taubl, bring their rich, expressive sound for an afternoon of stunning chamber music. The program promises a moving and intimate performance that highlights both classical repertoire and contemporary works.
