Springfield, Mass. – 52 Sumner, the electrifying new arts and entertainment hotspot from Springfield Performing Arts Ventures, Inc. (“SPAV”), is cranking up the volume this month with another stellar lineup - including more shows in their highly regarded ROCK REWIND series of tribute shows. Get ready—because they’re just continuing to amp up the fun! The April Performance Lineup at 52 Sumner Totally Rocks (and that’s no April Fools Day joke!)
Springfield Performing Arts Ventures Inc. is a non-profit created to ignite the artistic spirit within Springfield’s urban community. SPAV is focused on breaking down barriers, ensuring that everyone, regardless of background, can access, participate in, and be inspired by the arts they strive to foster a more vibrant, connected, and culturally enriched city.

Most recently the appreciation spotlight shines on New Valley Bank & Trust, a better bank for Western Massachusetts, who will be serving as the presenting sponsor for the ROCK REWIND Series. Starting now and continuing with seven shows, this series is a chance to rewind and reminisce with the golden era of rock!

The ultimate tribute to Chicago hits the stage and brings back the horns, the hits, and the harmonies that defined a generation. From "Saturday in the Park" to "25 or 6 to 4," get ready to sing along, reminisce, and experience the magic of one of America’s greatest rock bands—LIVE!
Lynyrd Skynyrd defined Southern rock, and Vyntyge Skynyrd brings that pure Skynyrd experience straight to you! Hear hits like "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Gimme Three Steps" - and of course someone yelling “FREEBIRD!”
Rewind with us in a blaze of glory as the magic of Bon Jovi’s music comes alive with complete authenticity. This N.Y. based band, fronted by veteran recording artist Don Chaffin, will immerse you into a live tribute concert experience like no other!
And then rocking the stage in May are The Beautiful Losers (Bob Seger tribute), Refugee (The Ultimate Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers Experience), and Fleetwood Macked.
In addition on stage in April at 52 Sumner the community can enjoy Broadway with Strings Attached on Saturday, April 26. Experience the magic of Broadway like never before with this one-of-a-kind performance that brings the Great White Way to life with a unique blend of strings, storytelling, and show-stopping moments, courtesy of Quartetto Mosso, timpanist/actor Marty Kluger, and radio personality Mark G. Auerbach. This show is part of the Springfield Chamber Players Chamber Music Series.

52 Sumner, located in Springfield’s historic Forest Park neighborhood, is housed in a stunningly transformed 125-year-old former church. Since opening in late 2023, following a year-long renovation that included state-of-the-art sound and lighting systems, the venue has quickly become the go-to stage for unforgettable live music, powerhouse theatrical performances, and one-of-a-kind events.
