SVP joins Berkshire to lead its new flagship private banking center in downtown Boston



 

 
BOSTON, June 23, 2025 — Berkshire Bank is pleased to announce Paul O’Donnell has joined the bank as senior vice president, private banking center officer, to lead its new flagship private banking center at 1 Post Office Square in Boston.
 
Before joining the Berkshire team, O’Donnell spent 18 years with Boston Private Bank, and then SVB Private and First Citizens Bank as part of acquisitions. At First Citizens, he led its eastern Massachusetts branches with a multibillion-dollar deposit base.
 
A seasoned financial services professional with a specialty in private banking, O’Donnell has experience managing a personal portfolio of private banking clients and supported commercial banking, residential lending, wealth management, as well as personal banking for bank executives and employees.

The bank’s new 7,000-square-foot private banking center on the marquee corner of Pearl and Milk streets provides a modern, sophisticated, integrated banking experience for clients and prospective clients in the heart of the city’s financial district.
 
A resident of Needham, Massachusetts, O’Donnell has a bachelor’s degree in management and marketing from Northeastern University. He is a member of the Tri-County Regional Chamber's MetroWest Networking Group and volunteers with local community organizations, assisting the elderly and families in need.
