Polish National Credit Union Hosts Community Shred Day at Executive Office

Chicopee, MA – Polish National Credit Union (PNCU) is pleased to host a free Community Shred Day on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at its Executive Office, located at 46 Main Street in Chicopee.

The event provides community members with a secure and convenient way to dispose of confidential documents and protect themselves from identity theft and fraud. Attendees are encouraged to bring outdated financial records, credit card statements, tax documents, medical records, and other sensitive paperwork for secure on-site shredding.

As concerns about data security continue to grow, properly disposing of personal documents is an important step in safeguarding personal and financial information. PNCU's Shred Day offers a safe, environmentally responsible solution while helping educate consumers about identity theft prevention.

PNCU remains committed to providing resources and educational opportunities that help individuals make informed financial decisions and protect themselves from fraud and identity theft. In addition to offering free document shredding, the credit union will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Chicopee Senior Center. Community members are encouraged to bring a donation to help support local seniors in need. 

Community members may bring paper documents for shredding during the event. To ensure the event can accommodate as many participants as possible, there is a maximum limit of three boxes of documents per person.
