Michael J. Dias Foundation Appoints Gina Maria Alimberti as Executive Director

 

Springfield, MA — The Michael J. Dias Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of Gina Maria Alimberti as its new Executive Director.

  Alimberti has served as the Foundation's Interim Executive Director over the past several months, providing steady leadership while working closely with the Board of Directors, staff, residents, and community partners. During her tenure, she has strengthened organizational operations, expanded community outreach, enhanced fundraising efforts, and continued advancing the Foundation's mission of supporting individuals in recovery from substance use disorder.

With an extensive background in nonprofit leadership, marketing, fundraising, and community engagement, Alimberti brings more than two decades of experience leading organizations and building meaningful partnerships throughout Western Massachusetts and Northern Connecticut. Her passion for helping others, combined with her strategic leadership and commitment to community service, positions the Foundation for continued growth and impact.

The Michael J. Dias Foundation currently operates three men's sober homes in Springfield, providing structured, recovery-focused housing and support for individuals rebuilding their lives. The Foundation has recently purchased its first women's sober home and is actively raising additional funds to furnish and fully prepare the residence for occupancy. This expansion represents a significant step in meeting the critical need for recovery housing for women in the region.

As Executive Director, Alimberti will continue to lead the organization's fundraising initiatives, community partnerships, strategic planning, and day-to-day operations while furthering the Foundation's mission to offer hope, stability, and opportunity to individuals in recovery.
