Monson Savings Bank Donates $3,000 to Magic for Maddie Through Community Giving Initiative

Monson, MA – Monson Savings Bank is proud to support Magic for Maddie with a $3,000 donation as part of its 2026 Community Giving Initiative, a community-driven program dedicated to supporting local nonprofit organizations making a meaningful difference.
Dan Moriarty, President and CEO of Monson Savings Bank, along with Michael Rouette, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer; Aimee Kohn, Business Development Officer; and Paul Shepardson, Assistant Vice President and Digital Systems Officer, recently presented the donation to Nora and Greg Schmidt, founders of Magic for Maddie. The Schmidts visited the Bank's Loan and Operations Center in Wilbraham to accept the donation. The contribution reflects the voices of the community, as Magic for Maddie was selected through public voting in the Bank's annual Community Giving Initiative.

Magic for Maddie is dedicated to honoring the life and legacy of Madeline “Maddie” Schmidt by supporting children and families affected by childhood cancer. Founded following Maddie’s courageous battle with DIPG, a rare and aggressive form of pediatric brain cancer, the organization works to fund critical research, provide assistance to families navigating a childhood cancer diagnosis, and make a meaningful impact throughout the local community.
