A Grammy Winner, a National Rock Band, and More Take the Stage This Summer at 52 Sumner

Springfield, Mass. – 52 Sumner is turning up the volume with another exciting season of live entertainment, bringing nationally recognized talent, community favorites, theater productions, and unforgettable musical experiences to Springfield’s Forest Park neighborhood. From blues royalty to rising rock stars, the venue continues to build a diverse lineup that offers something for every audience.
 
Two highly anticipated national acts are soon to be arriving at 52 Sumner:

  • Christone “Kingfish” Ingram – Sunday, August 9
  • Grammy Award winning blues sensation Christone “Kingfish” Ingram returns to 52 Sumner after a standout past performance that left audiences wanting more. Hailed as one of the most exciting young artists in modern blues, Kingfish has earned international recognition for his jaw dropping guitar skills, powerful vocals, and electrifying stage presence. At just 26 years old, the Mississippi native has already shared stages with legendary artists and received widespread acclaim from fans and critics alike. His performances blend classic blues traditions with contemporary energy, creating a live music experience that is both soulful and unforgettable. Audiences can expect an evening filled with fiery guitar solos, emotional storytelling, and the kind of musical talent that has made Kingfish one of the most celebrated blues artists of his generation.   • Plush – Monday, August 17
  • Nationally recognized all female rock band Plush brings its high energy sound and powerhouse musicianship to 52 Sumner for what promises to be an unforgettable night of modern rock. Known for their dynamic performances and impressive musical talent, Plush has quickly gained attention across the country with major festival appearances, national tours, and radio success. The band’s music combines hard rock energy with melodic vocals and strong songwriting, earning praise from fans and industry veterans alike. Made up of talented young musicians who continue to break barriers in the rock world, Plush delivers a live show packed with intensity, passion, and crowd favorite songs that showcase why the band continues to rise on the national stage. Joining Plush will be Boston’s own, Major Moment. Tickets on sale Friday, May 15, 2026.
 
A Special Kick-Off to Summer Concert also announced: 
 
  • The Kurt Allen Band – Thursday, June 11
  • From Kansas City, Missouri, Kurt Allen has been fusing gritty old school blues, vintage soul, swampy Bayou funk, and more into a relentless blues-rock machine. This is a Free Community Concert made possible, in part, through the support of the Springfield Cultural Council.

  • Aladdin in partnership with Spfld Community Theater of Massachusetts – July 10 through July 12

  • Forever Plaid – September 25 through September 27
 
In addition, many more bands, community events, theatrical productions, and special performances have also been added for the upcoming fall and winter seasons.
