Monson Savings Bank Supports East Longmeadow Food Pantry with $1,000 Donation and October Food Dri

Located at the Pleasant View Senior Center, the East Longmeadow Food Pantry serves community members of all ages through onsite distribution and mobile delivery. Its delivery van reaches people who are homebound, lack transportation, are recovering from surgery, or otherwise cannot easily visit the pantry. Through both service options, the pantry provides fresh and healthy food choices alongside shelf-stable staples.
“The East Longmeadow Food Pantry makes it easier for people to get the food they need, even when getting to the pantry is difficult,” said Dan Moriarty, President and CEO of Monson Savings Bank. “Their flexible approach helps make sure more people in our community can access healthy food.”
The Bank’s donation and October collection will help the pantry provide nutritious food through both onsite service and delivery, extending support to residents facing affordability, transportation, or mobility barriers.
“Support from local organizations and residents helps us offer a greater variety of food and reach a growing number of community members who may need our support,” said Elizabeth Baron, East Longmeadow Food Pantry Coordinator. “We are grateful for this donation and for the East Longmeadow Branch collection.”
The donation is one of several contributions made through Together for Food Security, Monson Savings Bank’s campaign supporting local responses to food insecurity. Participating organizations address needs throughout the local food system, including neighborhood pantry access, mobile markets, food rescue, urban agriculture, and regional distribution.
