Open Pantry Community Services in Springfield is a vital resource for individuals and families facing food insecurity throughout the region, providing access to food assistance and related support when it is needed most. Donations help keep essential resources available during the holidays and throughout the year, strengthening the pantry’s ability to respond to ongoing needs in the community.
For neighbors experiencing financial hardship or uncertainty, that dependable, year-round presence can provide both immediate assistance and a meaningful sense of stability. Community support helps Open Pantry continue serving individuals and families with dignity as needs arise.
“No one in our community should have to wonder where their next meal will come from. Open Pantry is a vital source of nourishment, stability, and hope for individuals and families across Greater Springfield, offering compassionate assistance and a dependable place to turn during times of need,” said Dan Moriarty, President and CEO of Monson Savings Bank.
Together for Food Security reflects the understanding that supporting our neighbors takes many forms. The campaign was developed to support and highlight the many interconnected parts of the local food system—from neighborhood pantries and mobile markets to food rescue, urban agriculture, and regional distribution—because each plays a vital role in making sure individuals and families in our communities have dependable access to the food and support they need.
“Support like this helps us continue providing individuals and families with reliable access to food and essential resources when they need them most. We are grateful to Monson Savings Bank for standing alongside Open Pantry and the neighbors we serve throughout the Springfield area,” said Nicole Lussier, Managing Director of Open Pantry Community Services, Inc.
