AIC Standout Sidiki Kone Earns Mini-Camp Invitation From Baltimore Ravens
SPRINGFIELD, MA – American International College (AIC) All-Conference running back Sidiki Kone has earned an invitation to rookie mini-camp with the Baltimore Ravens, becoming the latest Yellow Jacket with an opportunity to reach the NFL. Kone’s invitation, extended late Saturday evening, positions him to potentially become the fifth AIC player in the past decade to sign with an NFL roster.
Kone now looks to join the ranks of recent AIC alumni Mike Ford (Kansas City Chiefs), Omari Manhertz (Carolina Panthers), Daquan Holmes (Green Bay Packers), and Viondy Merisma (Tennessee Titans), each of whom were signed as undrafted free agents.
"I couldn’t be more proud of Sidiki," AIC head coach Dan Chipka says. "He has a special set of skills, which will allow him to compete in the professional ranks. But more than that, Sidiki’s character, work ethic, and tunnel focus will add tremendous value to any locker room at the next level."
Kone will report to the Ravens’ rookie mini camp, held at the Under Armour Performance Center in Owings Mills, Maryland, later in May as he competes for a spot as a free agent signee.
Kone capped his notable career at AIC with a strong finish to his senior season. He led the way for the Jackets to win 3 out of their last 4 games in 2024, while earning 2nd team All-NE10 accolades for the second straight year.
Sidiki has been instrumental in helping the Yellow Jackets restore the winning tradition at AIC, improving the win total each year from 2022 to 2024. After his final season of eligibility, Sidiki was invited to play in the FCS Bowl and Tropical Bowl, where Emory Hunt of CBS Sports spotlighted him as the ‘Top Performing Running Back.’
Kone finished his career with 1,989 all-purpose yards (1,677 rushing), 17 total touchdowns (15 rushing), and made a significant impact on both offense and special teams. Over the past three seasons, Sidiki has led AIC’s rushing attack in touchdowns.
