52 Sumner Wraps Up Summer Strong & Announces Two Major Shows
Springfield, Mass. – As summer winds down, 52 Sumner, Springfield’s premier live performance venue from Springfield Performing Arts Ventures, Inc. (SPAV), is not letting up. With two final public summer shows and a packed lineup of fall performances, the historic venue continues to cement its place as a cultural destination for music lovers and arts enthusiasts throughout the Pioneer Valley.
Final Summer Shows – A handful of tickets are available for unique performances rounding out the summer season:
“It’s the Wildest” - Friday, August 8: Step back into the golden age of swing with this spirited tribute to Louis Prima and Keely Smith. “It’s the Wildest” captures the energy, wit, and chemistry of the legendary duo with toe-tapping favorites and lively stage presence.
Blood Brothers: Mike Zito & Albert Castiglia - Friday, August 15: Two of the biggest names in modern blues rock join forces for one unforgettable night. Add special guests Peter Newland of FAT and Scott Murawski of Max Creek, and this show promises to be a summer standout moment.
Two BIG Shows Just Announced!
Candlelight Concert Series: Held in over 150 cities around the globe, these unique performances pair live music with the intimate glow of thousands of candles. The historic beauty of 52 Sumner makes it the perfect setting for these immersive, sensory-rich evenings. Three shows have been announced, with one more to come:
Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy – Chapter Two: Following last year’s sold-out run, the Edgar Allan Poe Speakeasy returns for a haunting theatrical experience like no other. Guests will enjoy dramatic readings of Poe’s most chilling tales alongside themed cocktails in an atmospheric, interactive setting. This event will return Thursday through Saturday, September 18, 19, 20 with multiple showtimes.
