Longmeadow, MA - September 15, 2025 - The Alzheimer’s Association Massachusetts/New Hampshire Chapter will host the Pioneer Valley Walk to End Alzheimer’s Kickoff Event on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at the Leavitt Family Jewish Home, 770 Converse Street, Longmeadow, MA. The event, titled Impact of Dementia Across Pioneer Valley, will bring together community members, advocates, and leaders for a morning of conversation and learning about the effects of dementia in the region. Event Details: ● Registration: 8:00 AM (light breakfast provided by JGS Lifecare) ● Panel Discussion: 8:30–9:30 AM, moderated by Beth Cardillo ● Special Guest: Senator Jake Oliveira ● Panelists: Grace Barone (ERC5), Sean Terwilliger (Early Stage Advocate), Meghan Lemay (Alzheimer’s Association) The panel will highlight the personal, social, and economic impact of dementia in Pioneer Valley while exploring how individuals and organizations can take action to support families, raise awareness, and help end Alzheimer’s disease. The Walk to End Alzheimer’s Pioneer Valley will take place on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Holyoke Community College. Funds raised through the Walk fuel the Association’s mission of providing free care and support services, advocating for policies that advance dementia research, and funding global studies aimed at treatment and prevention.
