Monson Savings Bank Donates $2,500 to the Springfield Ballers

Monson, MA – Monson Savings Bank is proud to support Springfield Ballers with a $2,500 donation as part of its 2026 Community Giving Initiative, a community-driven program dedicated to supporting local nonprofit organizations making a meaningful difference.

Dan Moriarty, President and CEO of Monson Savings Bank, along with Michael Rouette, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer; Dina Merwin, Senior Vice President & Chief Risk and Senior Compliance Officer; and Carla Carnevale, Community Relations Manager, recently presented the donation to Springfield Ballers. James Gee and Lien Baker of Springfield Ballers visited the Bank’s Loan and Operations Center in Wilbraham to accept the donation. The contribution reflects the voices of the community, as Springfield Ballers was selected through public voting in the Bank’s annual initiative.

“We are proud to present this donation to Springfield Ballers on behalf of Monson Savings Bank,” said Moriarty. “Their commitment to creating opportunities for youth through athletics, mentorship, and community engagement is truly inspiring. Supporting organizations that make a direct and lasting impact on young people and families is incredibly important to us.”

Rouette emphasized the importance of community input in guiding the Bank’s giving efforts.

“Our Community Giving Initiative is all about listening to our community and investing in the programs that matter most to them,” said Rouette. “The support for Springfield Ballers speaks volumes about the role they play in our region. We are honored to help advance their mission and expand the positive experiences they provide to local youth.”

Springfield Ballers is dedicated to empowering youth through sports, leadership development, and mentorship, helping to build confidence, teamwork, and life skills that extend well beyond the court.
