UI Solvency Assessment Fund Link to Recording, Resources and CALL TO ACTION

Massachusetts recently released its 2021 Unemployment Tax Rates to applicable employers. Shockingly, MA State has increased the solvency rating factor by 1600% which has resulted in many employers experiencing double, triple, or quadruple their 2020 UI tax rate! This increase is attributed to the historical amount of unemployment claims paid during the pandemic. For some employers, this means thousands of dollars, while some will experience hundreds of thousands or millions in unemployment cost increases.

Recently, the ERC5 partnered with the Unemployment Tax Control Associates (UTCA) and A.L. Cignoli Company to host an Emergency UI Solvency Assessment Discussion designed to explain the solvency assessment increase and provide insights into what business-driven and political steps are begin taken NOW. Our unified effort continues to alert and educate businesses and our leaders on the impact of the solvency fund increase now taking effect on June 1st.  Below you will find the petition we are asking you to sign and share with your networks along with a few other important resources.
