Westfield, MA—Katrina L. Popielarczyk has been promoted to Assistant Vice President and Staff Attorney at Westfield Bank. Based at the bank’s main office in Westfield, MA, she assists the bank’s General Counsel with legal matters involving commercial loan documentation and drafting, securities regulatory issues, contractual drafting and review, and trusts and estate matters pertaining to banking. She is also responsible for legal compliance and service of process.
Popielarczyk began her career at Westfield Bank as a Teller after graduating from high school and worked part-time as she started college. During a hiatus in her studies, she moved into a full-time teller role and advanced to Head Teller. Later, while continuing to work full-time, she enrolled in an accelerated bachelor’s degree program at Bay Path College, where she was a member of the Maroon Key Honor Society and the Lambda Epsilon Chi national paralegal honor society, and graduated Summa Cum Laude. She was then accepted into the evening studies program at Western New England University. While attending WNEU, she was a representative of the American Bar Association Mediation Moot Court competition team and she received the CALI Excellence Award in the field of secured transactions from the WNEU School of Law. She completed a Juris Doctor degree, passed the Massachusetts Bar Exam, and was sworn in as an Attorney in 2017. She is a member of the Hampden County Bar Association and the Association of Corporate Counsel.
