DESCRIPTION:Join Deputy Town Manager\, Rebecca Lisi\, as she leads a book discussion series on the benefits of walkable communities. The book we will be reading is The Walkable City: How Downtown Can Save America\, One Step At a Time\, by Jeff Speck. \n\nThe discussions will take place on Tuesdays 9/2\, 9/9\, 9/16 and 9/23\, 12:00-1:00.  We will divide the book into sections and discuss each section at the four meetings.\n\n The author of the book\, Jeff Speck\, will be coming to the town of East Longmeadow on September 30th.  He will present his conceptual redesign of the rotary and do a talk on walkability.  This presentation will take place at the Pleasant View Senior Center.
